September 11, 2001 and the Aftermath
My commute to work on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001 took me across the Manhattan bridge, and the subway car became eerily silent as we passed the Twin Towers engulfed in smoke.
The days that followed were traumatic, dramatic, and sleep deprived. We produced dozens of photoessays,
including the powerful photographs of James Nachtwey's "Shattered".
