- I grew up in Maine.
- I have a B.A. in Soviet Studies that I completed the year the Soviet Union ceased to exist.
- I spent a year in Russia photographing Jewish Communities. I self-published a calendar of my work.
- I have an M.A. in Communications Photography from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications.
- I used to teach digital imaging and digital photojournalism at the International Center of Photography in NYC.
- I shoot mostly black & white film.
- The photographs on this website were made with: Nikon F4, Nikon FM2, YashicaMat EM, Horizont (a russian-made 35mm panorama camera), Nikon Coolpix 950, Olympus Stylus, and a Canon Powershot S230
- I can juggle rubber chickens.
