Frozen Goat Surprise
Inside were packages of meat, all labeled in a very unofficial hand scrawled manner. It wasn't all goat. There was some rabbit and even a shrink wrapped lamb's head, I think. But sure enough, right there on top, was a packaged labeled "Goat." No indication what cut of meat or what part of the goat, but it was goat. Where did it come from? Who was it for? If the store had had some farmer's cheese, I might have bought myself a package of frozen goat, just for curiosity's sake. But after failing in my quest for the cheese, it was getting late and I felt compelled to avoid the long check-out lines and just head back to the lake empty handed, but full of questions for the next time we find ourselves at the Portland Hannaford supermarket.
